Day-by-Day Programme
Day 1
Amman Airport – Amman
Arrival at Amman International (Queen Alia) Airport. Meet and transfer to your hotel in Amman for check-in and overnight.
Day 2
Jerash – Ajlun – Dead Sea – Amman
Breakfast, then transfer to Jerash, a close second to Petra among Jordan's favourite sites, with more than 6,500 years of continuous occupation and a place among the ten Roman cities of the Decapolis.
Continue to Ajlun, where the pine forests of the Ajloun–Dibbine area meet the towering Ayyubid castle (Qal'at Ar-Rabad), built by one of Saladin's generals in 1184 AD.
Continue to the Dead Sea for the chance to float in its therapeutic waters — the lowest point on earth at over 400 metres below sea level. Return to Amman for overnight.
Day 3
Desert Castles – Um Khalil
Breakfast, then a journey to the Umayyad-era Desert Castles: Qasr Amra, Qasr Azraq and Qasr Al-Kharaneh, a string of castles and retreats that evoke early Islamic hunting and leisure.
Return to Amman for dinner at Um Khalil restaurant (or similar), then to your hotel for overnight.
Day 4
Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Karak – Petra
After breakfast, drive to Madaba for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics and the famous 6th-century Mosaic Map. Continue to Mount Nebo, the memorial of Moses, with views over the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the River Jordan.
Drive on to Karak and its famous Crusader fortress, then proceed to your hotel in Petra for check-in and overnight.
Day 5
Petra
Breakfast, then a full day exploring Petra — the world wonder carved into the rock by the Nabateans over 2,000 years ago. Enter through the kilometre-long Siq to reach Al-Khazneh (the Treasury), 30 m wide and 43 m high, and continue deeper into the ancient city. Return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 6
Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Breakfast, then transfer to Wadi Rum, the timeless 'Valley of the Moon' where Prince Faisal and T.E. Lawrence based their headquarters during the Arab Revolt. Enjoy a roughly two-hour Bedouin jeep tour taking in Lawrence's Spring, Khazali Canyon and the sand dunes.
Continue to Aqaba, Jordan's Red Sea resort and a great base for exploring the south, for check-in and overnight.
Day 7
Aqaba – Aqaba Airport
Breakfast, then transfer from Aqaba to the airport for departure.
