Day-by-Day Programme
Day 1
Amman Airport – Amman
Arrival at Amman International (Queen Alia) Airport. Meet and transfer to your hotel in Amman for check-in and overnight.
Day 2
Amman
Breakfast, then a tour of Amman — a fascinating city of contrasts blending old and new. Visit the Roman Theatre and Nymphaeum, and the Citadel that has stood since the time of the Ammonites. Stop at Darat al Funun, then return to your hotel for overnight.
Day 3
Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Dead Sea – Amman
After breakfast, transfer to Madaba for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, including the famous 6th-century Mosaic Map. Continue to Mount Nebo, the memorial of Moses, with captivating views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the River Jordan.
Continue to the Dead Sea for the chance to float in its therapeutic waters. At more than 400 metres below sea level, it is the lowest point on earth; its land-locked water evaporates to leave a rich cocktail of salts and minerals. Return to Amman for overnight.
Day 4
Amman – Petra – Amman
Breakfast, then transfer to Petra — the wonder of the world and Jordan's most valuable treasure. Enter through the Siq, a kilometre-long gorge flanked by 80-metre cliffs, to reach Al-Khazneh (the Treasury), a massive façade carved into the dusky pink rock at the beginning of the first century. At the end of the visit, return to your hotel in Amman for overnight.
Day 5
Desert Castles – Um Khalil
Breakfast, then a journey to the Umayyad-era Desert Castles — a string of castles, caravanserai and retreats that paint an exotic picture of hunting and leisure in early Islamic times: Qasr Amra, Qasr Azraq and Qasr Al-Kharaneh.
Return to Amman for dinner at Um Khalil restaurant (or similar), then to your hotel for overnight.
Day 6
Amman – Amman Airport
Breakfast, then transfer from Amman to the airport for departure. Keep the memories alive — we hope to see you in Jordan again soon!
